We are excited to announce Comfort Keepers’ brand new wellness programme!

Our new Be Well Programme is a new, positive way of supporting all of our mental and physical health through social, mindfulness, exercise and nutritional support throughout the year. This past year has been a challenge for us all and its important to focus on how we can support each other holistically in everything we face.

Providing support and encouragement for wellness amongst our staff and clients is a great way to build stronger relationships and respond to the needs of all.

Having a Wellness Week and further wellness events throughout the year is a positive way of supporting the mental and physical health of our staff and clients.

To kick off the programme, we are starting with Wellness Week – a vast and varied programme of events to give us all a boost this September 21st -25th. Wellness Week incorporates mental health and wellbeing events such as free, daily Guided Relaxation classes. We also focus on physical wellbeing through free online Pilates sessions and much more to help us with our minds and bodies.

Keep an eye out for a series of competitions throughout the week for your chance to win a trip to Centre Parcs, a FitBit and a yearlong subscription to Spotify!

There’s something for everyone so dive head first into the amazing timetable of events to come. We can’t wait to get started!

CK Wellness Week – Siel Bleu ‘Keep Moving’

Guided Relaxation

A few moments of guided relaxation and meditation can help ground yourself and counteract anxiety or stress. Meditation is a habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. You can use it to increase awareness of yourself and your surroundings. Many people think of it as a way to reduce stress and develop concentration.

People also use the practice to develop other beneficial habits and feelings, such as a positive mood and outlook, self-discipline, healthy sleep patterns and even increased pain tolerance.

Our Guided Relaxation sessions with Katie O’Byrne will give employees an opportunity to take a few moments each day to relax and get in touch with themselves through a moment of calm.

Pilates

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. Pilates moves tend to target the core, although the exercises work other areas of your body as well. People also use the practice to develop other beneficial habits and feelings, such as a positive mood and outlook, self-discipline, healthy sleep patterns and even increased pain tolerance.

Our Pilates sessions with The Railway Yoga & Pilates Cabin will give employees a chance to get some exercise into their day and helps to relieve and prevent knee and back pain.
