Your time is invaluable to the service and care we provide, and we recognise that in our payments. We ensure our Home Care Assistants are adequately paid for their time, which is why we offer very competitive rates. For a 30 minute shift, you’ll receive €8 Monday to Saturday and €10 on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Hourly rates are €11.50 per hour Monday to Saturday, €12.65 per hour on Sundays and €14.38 per hour on Bank Holidays.


To work as a Home Care Assistant, you need to have the right qualifications, and we provide you with the resources to obtain them. The modules you need to be a carer are FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Care Skills and Care of Older Person. For new recruits, our 3-day induction training includes these 2 modules, along with patient and manual handling. Not only that, but we offer a 70% discount on Comfort Keepers based training.


Along with the pay and training opportunities mentioned above, we provide our Home Care Assistants with guaranteed weekly hours. This way, you’re guaranteed a certain amount of work, and a certain amount of money. We also don’t expect you to have to pay for your Personal Protection Equipment (such as aprons, gloves, etc.), so we’ll provide you with that for free. Garda vetting will also be provided by us, for you, so you don’t have to worry about that, either. If you refer a friend or a client to us, you’ll get a bonus too!
