What Our Clients Have To Say about our Incredible Team

Comfort Keepers have had an impact both on my life and my wife’s life. Megan knows naturally how to help Deirdre and they get on great and I feel more relaxed when I know Megan’s there which has taken some pressure off me. I can’t believe my luck that Comfort Keepers and Megan where one of the keys that opened the doors to the support we have.

Ralph from Dun Laoghaire– His wife has been a client since November 2018

I was always very independent, and my sister said to me Dorie would you not get home help? Didn’t feel I was ready for that, maybe I was a bit stubborn but knew I was in a lot of pain in my back due to my MS. I thought to myself I am going to need help and there is no point in suffering when there is help available. My carer is lovely, and she helps me, we also laugh together. I really enjoyed the client event it was just brilliant. I don’t get out that often and my friend and I had a great time.

Some Testimonials

I was always very active and never thought I would need a carer until I had my spinal fractures. My family were helping me, but I could see it was taking its toll on them, so I asked my GP for help and 6 weeks later I met with Vivienne, Orla and my Public Health Nurse who introduced me to Assitan and Adesola. When everyone had left it was just Assitan and I cried with happiness knowing I had help.

My three A’s as I call them Assitan, Adesola and Anne and now Kim, mean the world to me. They are my lifeline and my day would not be complete without my carers who I now class as my friends.

Carers first came to me when I fell and broke my wrist and they are great! They call to me twice a week, Danielle calls to me on a Tuesday and she helps me get ready for the day and with technology. Sharon and Ingrid are wonderful too. I would be lonely and tired if they didn’t come to visit me, I feel I have more of a purpose.

Martina from Ranelagh– Has been a client since May 2016

It is with peace of mind, contentment and happiness I write to you on behalf of myself and my family to say thank you. My lovely parents are Paddy and Mary who live in their own home. With respect to their age, their health has been deteriorating in recent times. I feel compelled to put pen to paper in appreciation and admiration for the two amazing carers, Caroline and Dolores, who visited my parents daily. They are now part of our family, we couldn’t have hand-picked two better ladies to care for our parents. So, I thank you on behalf of my six brothers and myself.

A lovely final note from Frank in Cork

Just a short note to express our gratitude and thanks for the care provided to Michael by Comfort Keepers. Initially, as a family, we didn’t know what to expect, with all these new faces coming into the family home. Our concerns were short-lived as we soon got to know all the carers and they got to know us, the care, respect and dignity in which they looked after Michael and Mary were second to none. The carers got to know our father very quickly and the craic, the banter the yarns, the signing and the fun we had, every day, every week around the kitchen table with Michael at the centre of it was, so precious to all the family.

Frank from Cork– Client since November 2016

It’s a bright part of my day when Eilish comes in, she always has something nice to tell me about flowers or gardening. She tells me about her day, about weddings she is going to, about the clothes she is buying. We went out in the sun for 10 minutes yesterday and even then, she couldn’t sit still picking up weeds. She is always busy. For once in my life I don’t have to worry about what needs to be done, she sees a thing and does it. That pleases me very much. She also has lots of experience with other clients, and knows a lot about disabilities – she is educating me a lot about disabilities, in a nice way, and making life easier for me. Even my little dog likes her!
