Home Support Workers are the lifeblood of Comfort Keepers. That’s why it is incredibly important to us that they receive the appreciation and praise they deserve for their tireless and crucial work. One way we do this is through awards.
Our carers also are heroes in the community and we are passionate about ensuring we recognise and value their efforts.
Thus, each year we recognise our Home Support Workers for their work and commitment to providing care in our communities. Peers nominate and then vote for carers. They then attend our wonderful CK awards ceremony at the end of the year, where we announce the Comfort Keepers Ireland “Carer of the Year” and “Employee of the Year”.
CK Awards 2017
We had another wonderful ceremony for the 2017 CK Awards at Killashee House in Naas. The CK Awards are organised to honour the contributions of our excellent carers and also give us the opportunity to recognise and appreciate their hard work and commitment throughout the year. It also lets us let our hair down and have an annual night of fun and community.
Elaine Doherty was named our Carer of the Year 2017. This award was given in appreciation of her outstanding work and dedication throughout the year and also the way in which she goes above and beyond to deliver the highest quality of care possible. We are delighted that Elaine will be heading to Texas USA to represent us at the Comfort Keepers International Awards.
